The Cashew

After work Monday night, my roommate and I felt like treating ourselves to some 2 for 1 martinis. Down town KC is surprisingly eventful place. The Cashew is awesome, great food, service, drinks, and scenery! If you are in Kansas City or live here I suggest checking it out. They have two floors, open to the outside, and if you go to First Fridays it begins here.

Millions brace for century’s longest eclipse

The eclipse will reach its peak in India at about 6:20 a.m. local time (8:50 p.m. ET), and totality will last 6 minutes and 39 seconds at its maximum point in the Pacific. That duration record won't be surpassed until the year 2132. The last time a total eclipse lasted this long was in 1991, when an event visible from the Pacific and parts of Latin America could be seen for as long as 6 minutes and 53 seconds.

Father's 50th Birthday!

August 15th is my Father's big 5..0! I decided to help out and make some invites for the big party let me know what you all think. I would love to take any suggestions or comments! This is the front of the card...I will have the information on the inside and then my logo on the back of the invite. It will be a 5x7 folded card.

For the past 3 years or so I have been pondering as to what to do about sneezing. What I mean by this is that, gesundheit, bless you, excuse you...are not acceptable or current with the times. Gesundheit and Bless you are both from the olden times when it was thought that when you sneezed the demons, the devil, or evil was being released from you...and excuse me but I do NOT believe in that silly tale. While as Excuse you...from what one can't help sneezing! It just happens. So one of my room mates came up with a simple snap when someone sneezes. This way you are acknowledging the fact that they sneezed, being polite, but its more up to date! Pass it along!
