Kansas City Royals got a new look!

I did it! May 15, 2009 I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Commercial Arts with an emphasis in Photography and a minor in Graphic Technologies.

I decorated my hat so that my family and friends could find me in the crowd, a patchwork peace sign with some flowers...

Mpix Photo Shoot

On May 9th, 2009 Mpix held a photo shoot in Pittsburg, Ks. There were 4 models and about 25 photographers. We went around Pittsburg and the four photographers in charge would give us tips and then let us take a whirl.

Living Under The Bed...

Being an art student you end up with odd, strange and just weird things accumulating in the mass of what you call your own. While moving my furniture out of my room yesterday; I came upon something growing under my bed. Being me, I got super excited and brought it straight to my teacher to shoot some pictures! Of course my professor was just as excited as I was. Here is a sample of the photo shoot that I had!

Saying goodbye

I am leaving my nook, my college career I have been living in the Electronic Arts Studio with some awesome people. I will miss you all.

Nursing Graduation

I attended the Pittsburg State University Nursing graduation yesterday, May 14th 2009. My roommate Marie will be graduating today with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I was having some fun messing with long exposure times with all of the people moving around. I also had to get up front and center when Marie came on stage. It is a big ceramony where the graduating student chooses people that have helped them through this time in life. I am so proud of Marie, she worked really hard.

I loved my shoes so I thought I would share them with you, althougth they did make it difficult to run around taking photos in!

I will be graudating TODAY, May 15th 2009. Hooray.

KU Graphic Arts Show

Miss Blodgett herself...

Thursday, May 7th KU held the Graphics, Illustrators, and Design Students Final Show. I attended and it was stuffy. It was held at Californos, 4124 Pennsylvania KC, MO 64111. No air conditioning...tons of people. My friend Lindsey Blodgett had some of her art on display. Check out her Portfolio http://www.krop.com/lblodgett/

Above is the layout of her table. Below is a close up of a mock business card design that lindsey produced. I loved the creative "lincoln log" effect she gave the cards.

Head For The Art

The show was fabulous! It was last Friday, May 8th. I was not sure what to expect and it was everything and more. I had a blast, meeting local artists and raising money for a good cause all at the same time.

My Professor

While in class today I asked my professor to sketch a picture of me...her idea of me. This is what she produced... I am a chicken in her eyes!

My senior exhibit was last Friday, May 1st, 2009. It was an amazing experience.
